Found on Logans Beach shore with goose barnacles clinging to its underside, the sand dunes seemed appropriate resting place for this sea-weary chair.
Sometimes on my beach cleans, I come across some interesting finds washed up by the southern ocean that hammers Victoria's shipwreck coast. An old sturdy chair, thick with goose barnacles had been dumped unceremoniously onto the shore. I dragged the chair up to the sand dunes, safe from the incoming tide. I didn't realise while I was taking photos of the chair that a butterfly had landed on the Marram grass. The time was during March 2020, the first COVID lockdown in Victoria.
